Each treatment plan is tailored to the individual based on their unique goals and needs.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a brief, evidence-based psychotherapy that helps people process and reduce the emotional impact of traumatic memories, distressing images, and related symptoms. ART combines guided eye movements with mental imagery to help the brain process difficult experiences differently, often allowing clients to experience meaningful relief in just a few sessions.
ART has been used to help individuals experiencing:
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Anxiety disorders
- Depression
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Eating disorders
- Trauma associated with dyslexia and other learning challenges
Both ART and EMDR use guided eye movements to help process difficult memories. According to the source material, ART is generally more directive, follows a structured process, and focuses on replacing distressing mental images rather than extensive verbal processing of traumatic experiences.
Angela incorporates evidence-based therapies - including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) - that are recognized for helping individuals develop healthier coping strategies and manage symptoms associated with anxiety. During counseling, Angela works with each client to determine the approach that best fits their needs.

Angela has chosen a cash-based practice because it allows clients greater flexibility in the length of their sessions and keeps the focus on their individual needs rather than insurance requirements. It also allows clients to seek counseling without the need for a mental health diagnosis solely for insurance reimbursement.
